Another year and another trip to Germany for the Old Timers GP at the NurburgRing. And another year without the Capri Perana! Don't ask. But in case you ask - it's still in Rehab being fettled and having more cosmetic surgery than Katie Price. Next year it's a promise - I shall get the Gunston Perana to Nurburg!

 

Not a good start - got to the track nice and early on Friday a.m. - sat in the Grand Stand - got a lovely spot and...... well, as they say in Police Squad "Nothing to see here please move away"

Couldn't see the cars couldn't see the track could barely see the other 8 people in the Grand Stand! Not a car left the pits all day.

 

Saturday was another day though - the Sun came out to play as did the Classic Old Timers and although I missed the Stangers on track there were about 10 of them at Nurburg but only two Capri's. Next year, next year......

 

The usual suspects were there - Super Sports Cars and 1970's F1 cars and the Racing Saloons.

 

All in all a great spectacle to see and hear. Plus Nurburg is such a lovely place to visit. Here's some shots of the village itself, the castle and some shots of the famous NordSchiefe and visitors doing thier thing.
